Human trafficking is a very big problem across the globe and also the world's vile crimes. It affects millions of peoples lives- about 40.3 million people, plus more are affected by this:

- About 24.9 million+ work for exploited labour
- Most victims (50%) work for sexual exploitation
- 15.4 million+ are forced into marriage

This takes away the freedom and the human rights of the victim which is wrong. Women, Men, and children from all around the world are forced into trafficking acts.

Human trafficking can affect both genders but the majority involved are women and girls. About 71% of the victims are women and girls:
-51% are women
-20% are girls
For men only 21% are affected

75% (30.2 million) of the victims of human trafficking are aged 18 years and older and 25% (10.1 million) of the victims are children.

Between the ages of 18-29, women are the most affected whilst men ages 48+ are more affected than women aged 48+. Both genders at the ages of 0-8 years are both affected.










how to respond

A person might be going through exploitation works if they are projecting these type of actions:

- As if they are being forced or instructed to do some sort of activity
- Have low self-esteem and show signs of abuse but physically and mentally such as bruises, cuts, showing anxiousness, scared, anxiety
- Avoiding eye contact or any social interactions
- Don't have much contact with family and loved ones
- Don't have any possession of their ownimg legal documents or files
- Have threats made against their family
